Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...it is a glorious summer day.  The ocean breeze has kicked in and the temperature is moderating.  Perfect weather.

I am thinking...that life is good.

I am thankful for...window shopping with my girl, n.  We especially enjoy Charming Charlie's and any shoe store around.

From the kitchen... not much this week.  I made a disastrous meal yesterday.  It has been a long time since I've created something so unappealing.  Oh well pizza tonight.

I am wearing....my paisley patriotic shirt and denim shorts.

I am creating...plans to make homemade soap... still.  I've purchased one of my oils; coconut oil and have a source for my lye.  Now I need more olive oil, palm oil and containers.

I am going...to take n and her friend l out to Papa Ginos for pizza tonight and then we'll bring home pizza to the boys.  Should be good.

I am wondering... how long it will take us to close on our newly approved mtg!!!!

I am reading...not much this week.  I definitely want to get back to sitting on the deck and reading.  It is just so relaxing.

I am hearing...the sound of the fan and the television.

I am hoping...that I will get to hang out with my friend C either this week or next.  We just have to make a plan and make it happen.

I am looking forward to...seeing my friend M safe and sound at home!

I am learning... to let things go.

Around the house...  looking good.  Now to work on the outside!

A favorite quote for today...

‎"A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for."
– Grace Murray Hopper

One of my favorite things ...is when Flicka lies on my foot 'protecting it...'

A few plans for the rest of the week: preparing for closing, nightly walks with R, working in the yard

A photo I'm sharing:

Peace!
