If you were President of the United States, what would

be your first act in office?

First I must say that I believe the position of President of the United States is the most important and powerful position in the world.  With that power comes an overwhelming amount of pressure and responsibility.  It truly is a job where no matter what you decide, chances are someone will be unhappy with your decision.

I hope that the next sitting president chooses to begin his term by taking a hard look at our domestic policies.  This is not to say that we abandon our foreign policy.  We have taken part in nation building all over the world.  It is time to put our own citizens back to work as we repair and rebuild our own infrastructure, work to become energy independent, prepare our children to become competitive in the 21st century global economy and rebuild the middle class.  There is so much that can and should be done here at home.  As we invest in our middle class and grow our economy we send the message to the global community that we know how to stay relevant in this ever changing world.  To continue to be formidable abroad we must be strong here at home.

This time tomorrow we will know who has been chosen to lead us into the future.  Only time will tell.

Peace!
