Family Geneology

We are working on a couple of projects this week. 'N' is creating three entries into a 'Treasure' museum. He has to choose items that are very special to him treasures. He has to make a museum info card and be prepared to bring the items in on a designated day. The project is actually to build prior knowledge in the are of personal treasures as the children will have to write a 5 paragraph essay on a personal treasure at some point this year. It is challenging because children tend not to get so emotionally attached to objects. The other project we are working on is a family genealogy/ancestry project that includes drawing a map showing all borders and sharing about ancestors country of origin. We are working on Ireland. 'n' learned how to count to 10 in Gaelic, has drawn and painted the flag and labeled a map. It is interesting but this is almost as much work for me as it is for them. On top of all of these projects we are in the middle of writing conferences and meeting with parents. So I'm tired. Hope you all are having a good week.

Peace!
