Thoughtful

So today was a busy day.  After awaking at 7:30 this morning I spend a couple hours lounging and enjoying coffee and then I jumped into gear.  I spend some time cleaning and organizing the main floor of the house.  I mobilized my young help so that they would get their jobs done.  R was up and out of the house by 8am.  He headed over to 40 M and was pleasantly surprised by the removal of the old oil tank.  Yay!  Once the household chores were done I showered and got ready to go to the bank and D&D's in order to get J our electrician an iced coffee.  I dropped off the iced coffee and then headed home in order to change into work clothes and head back to get some painting done.  More on the progress at 40 M can be found here.

Over the past days I've been rather reflective.  Mother's day is not my favorite holiday.  The obvious reason is that my Mum is no longer on this earth, but my feelings run deeper than missing my Mom.  The commercialism of this day makes it difficult for children to live up to the hype.  Shouldn't every day be a day to celebrate our Mums?  Just saying.

On a different note, both R and I dreamed about our cat Fluffy last night.  Specifically we both dreamed that he came home.  Sadly he is still missing.  Wednesday night during the week of April vacation Fluffy went out and never returned. I think that he went away to die.  R thinks that someone has taken him in and is trying to help him recuperate from his illness.  What I do know is that I miss our special cat terribly.  I can still see him looking up at me just before he went out that night.  Sigh!
