This week is movie week at Texture Tuesday! Somehow we were to incorporate our favorite movie or probably any movie we enjoy in our entry. Well for me this was an easy choice. My all time favorite movie is White Christmas. One of my all time photos is an image taken a couple of winters ago of my absolute favorite tree at the end of my driveway. Sadly this tree was damaged this past winter so it does not quite look the same. So clearly I had to incorporate both of my favorites this week.
I started by duplicating my image and working with the levels and adjusted them accordingly. I applied several of Kim Klassen's textures. I started with a layer of canvas majic, screen 100%. I also added a text layer before adding canvasback, normal 31%. Finally, I wanted the image to have a more vintage feel simply because the movie is from the 50's so I added a layer of framit on multiply 53%. I'm pleased with the results.
Peace!

Love your White Christmas tree!
Perfect for the movie, also one of my all time favorites. Love the tree all white and frosty from winter.
I love old trees...there's just something about them, bare and covered in snow. Love it! And also the chosen movie.
terrific texture work!!
Simply beautiful. I plan to use your recipe on one of my winterscenes. Thanks for the great outline.
